G.D Amass & Sons maintain in-house quality systems and procedures. We are proud to have been added to the NICEIC roll of Approved Contractors for the quality of our services.

AS part of the process of fixed Installation test & inspection, our engineers carry out a thorough visual inspection of the electrical distribution system, as well as physical tests.

In most instances, this will highlight deviations from the BS 7671 (The IEE Wiring Regulations). These very specific regulations are the benchmark for electrical installations in terms of safety, integrity and quality. By not having the repairs carried out you may be charged with negligence in the event of an accident or fire on your site as a duty holder.

In accordance with the British Standard, we will catalogue deviations on page 2 of the periodic test report and code them 1-3 in order of severity as follows:

Code 1 – Danger Present (The safety of those using the installation is at risk).
Code 2 – Potentially Dangerous (The safety of those using the installation may be at risk).
Code 3 – Improvement recommended.

Once the testing procedure is complete, G.D. Amass & sons will issue a report containing its findings including the above deviations and recommendations. The responsibility then lies with you, as the duty holder to make a decision on the next stage.

After completing the repair programme successfully, G.D .Amass & Sons engineers will document the processes involved and the repairs made in order to satisfy regulations and standards. This information will be provided to the client in the form of a ‘completion’, or ‘minor works’ certificate. We will also re-test the affected areas of the installation free of charge and include this information within the report.

Due to the multi skilled engineers G.D. Amass & Sons can carry out repair works which are created by the various inspections this enables you to get the repair works carried out quickly and efficiently in the most cost effective manner by using our ‘one stop shop’.
